Hello Kitty calendars

Hi!  Anybody else scrambling to get Xmas gifts done?  Geez, I feel so rushed this year.  I think I procrastinated too much with blog hopping and Lego and not to mention some late nights fighting with my youngest.  This is the last week of school before Xmas break!  Where did the time go??

Anyway, I came across some cute Hello Kitty calendars on Jenny's (Sister Stamps) blog HERE.  I love that they were simple to put together cause I wanted to give some calendars out to the teachers but didn't want to make it too complicated since I was short on time.  And I had Sunghee's 2012 calendar template too which is pretty easy to use and so economical.

Yup, I pretty much stuck with the same design except my calendars are a bit taller.  I used PTI's coaster board and wrapped it with some washi paper.  I haven't used my Hello Kitty sizzlits in a while so at least I got some use of it.  Then just added a small magnetic strip on the back.  These are all for my kids' Nihongo teachers.  Yes, they have 5 teachers for Nihongo.

I also made 4 more cards using Sister Stamps Shimo-san.  The one I made earlier is HERE

A little close up.  The circle sentiments are all different and from Wild Rose Studio.  I added a mini Bath and Body Works hand gel too into a goody bag and called it a day.  I wanted to make a little memo pad too but there's just not enough time.

Thanks for reading!

Little Potato House Boxes

One of the first people I ever "met" through blogging was Sunghee.  She creates wonderful templates and is so imaginative.  She can take one template and make a dozen different things.  So I was really happy when she opened her store "Little Potato House."  I decided to try a couple of her templates for boxes for Halloween goodies.

This one is made from her Animal Box Car template.  I decided not to put the wheels on as I plan to fill it with goodies and ship this off to someone.  I hope it doesn't get too banged up in the packing box.

I love the detailed lid of this--the scallops and the corners.  It comes with a plain lid too.  It's easy to assemble in minutes but doesn't the lid look so fancy?

This box is her Book Shop Card Box.  I made the larger one and it actually is pretty big.  I was able to fit a small pouch, a couple of bookmarks and a little board book with still more room to spare.

I love the lid of this one too.  It's detailed but still easy to put together.

Thank you Sunghee for creating such fun templates, and for sharing your ideas!  You are one thoughtful and generous friend!

I think these are the last of my Halloween projects.  Hopefully I'll be able to move on to Christmas projects this weekend.  I'm hoping my PTI order comes tomorrow--lots of fun new things to play with.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Motivation Calendar

Hello!  I made this calendar which came with Sunghee's calendar template HERE from her Little Potato House store.  I love this layout and I love that it has that little box at the top.  It also comes without the box too.  The stamp is Rachelle Ann Miller from Paper Works Co.  It's our duck family.   Motivation is stamped with PTI's Outline Alphabet set.  Clouds are masked with PTI's clouds die.

Anyway, this is supposed to help motivate me to exercise!  Last year I tried to keep up with exercising and I thought I did pretty well in the beginning that is.  After about 2-3 months though, it started to fizzle out and then I got all sluggish again.  I really don't know how people can work out and actually put that into their daily routine.  So I started again about 3 weeks ago but I can't exercise everyday.  I just don't like it and I can't imagine having to do it forever to maintain a healthy weight.  Plus I just want to craft when I have time.  So I thought I'd hang this on the wall so I can stare at it while exercising.  I don't have a picture of it but I wrote down what motivates me to exercise.  Things like my health and my kids and being almost 40 years old and just kind of wrote a list directly onto the clouds area so I can remind myself to keep going even though I feel like stopping.  And I can also mark off the days that I exercised on the calendar.

Well, I finally got my new Cinch so I'm gonna go play now.  Thanks for reading and have a great Friday!

Gift Cards

Hi!  Here is my last post for PTI's Make It Monday Challenge to partially emboss/deboss.  My other entries can be found HERE, HERE & HERE.

I made a frame from fun foam.  This one used three 2 mm thick fun foam layers cut to 3x3 inch squares.  That was the size of the gifts cards I wanted to make.  I posted about using frames to partially emboss HERE.

I had some leftover Stampin' Up 3x3 cards so I used the colored ones as the base and used the cream ones to emboss and stamp on.

Here's a close up.  My stamping is a bit off.  But I think it's still cute.  I used PTI's Book Print impression plate.  I can't believe how many projects I made just with that one impression plate.  I just ordered the numbers one so I can't wait to get that one.  I have a lot more I want to order too.  The flowers are from PTI's Beautiful Blooms 2 dies and stamp set.  I used the medium sized flower die set for these cards.  The sentiments are from Tag-its #1.  They are the perfect size to fit in the center.

I made a set in blue too.

A closer view of the blue one.

I stamped some envelopes too.  The To/From is from Fillable Frames #9.  I used the little heart one from Tag-its #1 as a postage stamp.  At the top you can see the little box that all these cards/envelopes fit into.

This is a template called Almost Square Bag from Little Potato House.  It is the cutest box and one of my favorite templates that Sunghee has created.  I just printed it and cut it out.  Placed a simple label on front and done.

What I love about this box too is that you don't have to worry about using adhesive or anything to close it.  There are 2 small little tabs that tuck into the sides.  So smart!  So you can open and close it as many times as you want to.

Well, I think I've exhausted most of my ideas for this challenge.  I had one other but it's going on the back burner for now.  This challenge really did open up so many possibilities and variations for embossing/debossing.

Count Your Rainbows ...

Hi!  Here is the other easel card calendar I made.  Image is Pure Innocence Sunshiney Day.  I bought a whole bunch of Pure Innocence stamps and Die-namic dies.  Even though I wasn't crafting much I was still buying!  Can't resist all these cute things!

Again, calendar is from Sunghee's store, Little Potato House.  Thanks for making these cute calendars!  I love the doily behind the calendar.  I actually grabbed it from the plate of mints that came to our table when we were out eating at a restaurant.  Hahaha.  I want to check out the baking section at Walmart or even Ben Franklin to see if they have more of these little doilies cause they are thinner and look more delicate than the Martha Stewart one I used in the post below this.

Hearts are die cuts from MFT's Die-namics dies.  Cheryl, go check it out!  So cute!  I stamped part of the Inkadinkado Kid Quotes on this heart.  Large heart is felt.  Butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

The other half of the quote.  The little butterflies are super cute too.

I like this quote with this rainbow DP.  I use it a lot especially on calendars.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Easel Card Calendar

Hi!  It's a good thing Cheryl and I share this blog because for a while I just didn't feel like creating anything.  I actually went to bed early too before 11.  But I actually had some peace and quiet yesterday so I made this easel card calendar and another one that I'll share later.

I used Pure Innocence Hello, Cupcake stamp.  The calendar is from Sunghee's store, Little Potato House.  She was giving away these calendar templates for free for a limited time but now they are available for purchase in her store.  It's easy to just cut these out and glue the edges so the pages will tear.

Added some stickles to the sprinkles and cherry and her little heart pin.

I got this doily from Cheryl.  It's a Martha Stewart one.  Love all these doilies!

The little die cut above is an MFT Die-namics die.  So pretty.

I know I'm a little late with this calendar.  I was planning to give them away as Xmas gifts too.  Better late than never though.

Thanks for reading!  Hope you have a great week!
