Hello! I'm taking a break from Thanksgiving cooking for a quick post. It's time for a new Farm Fresh Friday and Sara is hosting a challenge based on your favorite movie.
I've made a few cards before based on movies so I was kind of stuck on thinking of another movie since I hardly watch movies in the first place. But finally I was inspired to make this one.
Can you guess the movie? I used Anya Styles to represent Carrie from Sex and the City. The background is MFT's Skyline Border die. I thought about making the rest of the girls too but yeah, I am totally too into the second season of The Vampire Diaries. I may catch up to the current season soon.
Okay, I'm going back to turkey duty.

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Twilight or Fantasy
Hello! It is time for another fun Farm Fresh Friday! This week Jess Diedrich is challenging us to create projects inspired by the Twilight series or Fantasy if you're not into Twilight.
Okay, I don't think I'm necessarily Twilight crazy. Like I won't stand in a super long line for the movie to open or watch all of them in a row in the theatre. My butt would get sore for one thing. I would watch them all at home where I can just be comfy in my own living room and pause to use the bathroom freely and eat when I'm hungry. As a whole I liked the books and the movies so I made a Twilight inspired card using the new James and Sadie. The quote on the bottom I found online since there are like a million Twilight things. The forever is a small portion of a longer sentiment stamp from PTI. I kind of created this card after I had seen some of the movie posters online. They had forever printed on some of them.
I am so waiting for next week when the kids are off and I don't have to drive as much. And the shopping! I love to see what's on sale though I might not necessarily buy anything at all.

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- ABC
Hello! Ready for another Farm Fresh Friday? This week Jess M. is challenging us to make Anything But a Card (ABC). It sounds daunting but a simple tag or bookmark will do.
I made a door hanger for my daughter. I found a pack of those inexpensive wood hangers at Walmart. I'm not sure what to call it but it's thin and easy to decorate. And I know I buy a lot of stuff at Walmart but it's way closer than Target and I don't think I've ever seen like a dollar bin at Target. Maybe ours doesn't have one.
I used this cute little Big Anya called Anya Styles. I made her phone pink like my daughter's one. I should try to style my daughter's hair like this instead of trying to fight her waves and smashing her hair down every morning with water and styling products. We should try to just poof her hair up. I remember we all wanted big hair back in the day. Why do girls all want stick straight hair these days? Some stylist quoted me $300 to straighten my daughter's hair but it would last a year!

This is the back side and it's a message intended for her little brothers. Mostly cause I was too lazy to cut out all the letters of brothers. Plus in a few, hopefully many years from now it will come in handy. Some subconscious mind trick. Haha!
Please go check out the rest of the ABC creations by the DT and join in on the challenge!
I am gonna get ready to do some major shopping tomorrow at Macy's!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- CAS!
Hello! We are going CAS (clean and simple) this week for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday! I know that can be hard for some of you who like to embellish up a storm on every card but there is something to be said just stamping and being done. Especially when we are getting busier!
I made a set of CAS Christmas cards using TGF's newest clear Xmas stamps. These were easy to make. I stamped each image twice, one on kraft and one on white. I colored the images on the white cardstock with my Copics and cut them out and glued them onto the kraft cardstock. I know I've said that I love red on kraft but I really love how the green looks on kraft too! I guess just about any bright color on kraft really makes the image stand out.
Here are the cards individually.
Hope you'll be able to find time for this challenge!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Buttons and Bows
Hello! It's a Buttons and Bows theme for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday! I created a simple card for this challenge.
I used the snowflakes from Sparkling Season stamp set and heat embossed them in white onto vellum. I used a Tim Holtz snowflake embossing folder on the kraft cardstock and added lots of Stickles. Then just added a simple bow and red button. I like this combo of white, kraft and red.
I've been kind of lazy this week. Didn't really color or anything. Must be the weather. It is so hot and muggy here and not to mention voggy too. The vog just cleared today I think, but it's still so hot! I need stronger trade winds!
Anyway, hope you'll join in the challenge! Thanks for reading!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
Hello! I am hosting Farm Fresh Friday! The theme this week is Reduce, Reuse, Recycle! I just have a whole bunch of stuff that I've saved thinking I will use them one day. Haha, do you do that too? I guess it's kind of like my junk drawer but some stuff is just too cute to throw away, you know? So in that sense I'm a tiny bit of a hoarder.
I made a small card sized 3.75 x 3.75 inches for the reduce part of my challenge. You don't have to do them all but I thought that would be cute. I colored up Bright Bean and also used the Wishes from Sparkling Season stamp set. The birthday sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. Can you guess my reused stuff? The cardboard is pretty obvious. I saved it cause it was small and cute. I inked it up a bit and cut it into a heart shape. Behind that is a pink netting that I've used before on another card and is the packaging from some rice noodles. I just cut it up and the color is so pretty!
Here's a close up of Bright Bean.
Hope you'll head over to see what the DT has made. I love what they have created! So pretty and cute too! Hope you'll play along with this challenge!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Pink!
Hi! Well, seems like most of you are leading a double, secret life hiding your blogs and obsessive stamping/card making behavior. Haha! Yeah, I'm always cautious who I tell and I always think twice before I tell anyone about my hobby.
Anyway, it is time for The Greeting Farm's FFF. This week Peggy is challenging us to use PINK on our cards. Easy right?
Here is my card featuring Bright Bean with pink hair. I think The Beans always look great with fun, colorful hair. I made her a bit Christmas-y.
Added some pink and green rhinestones and Stickles.
Please check out the rest of the team's PINK creations and join in on the challenge!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Birthday Recipe!
Hi! Is it Friday yet?? Geez, long week. I've been waking up every morning wondering if it's Friday yet. So today I took the time to actually nap. And maybe that's what I needed. I didn't sleep too soundly though but feel a bit more refreshed. And now it's pouring here as I write this post. Hate to pick up the kids in this kind of weather. Hopefully the rain will ease up by then.
Well, it's finally time for a new Farm Fresh Friday! This week Shaela has a Birthday Recipe for us. She is challenging us to create a project with: a birthday theme, use a boy TGF image, and the colors orange, turquoise/aqua & silver. Got it? Not too bad, right? We all need extra bday cards handy.
I chose Oliver from Surprise. It's the first time I have stamped him and this set was still untrimmed. Oh boy. I am trying not to buy too many new stamps since I still seem to find ones that I haven't trimmed yet. The letters were die cut from PTI felt using PTI's alphabet dies.
I didn't really have super shiny silver even though I used a metallic silver pencil to color in his shoes and the bow on the present. Still looks grey but that's what I got.
Please check out TGF's blog for all the challenge details and to see the cute birthday projects by the Showcase DT.

Keep Cozy
Hi! I think I have Christmas on my brain. So when I saw the latest Farm Fresh Friday Challenge at TGF, I really wanted to use the snowmen from their Keep Cozy set. And also because the challenge is "white out" or a white theme, it reminded me of snow (snowmen), although it doesn't snow here. I was lucky enough too that my Keep Cozy set came in the mail on Saturday. Just in time! So I decided to make some tags using all the snowmen.
I used PTI's tag sale die and stamped the sentiments that come with the Keep Cozy set before embossing the tags with Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots folder. I colored their carrot noses, added some bling for buttons and some glossy accents on some parts of each snowman (earmuffs, top hat and mittens). I cut out the cute snowmen and popped them up with dimensionals. I added stickles on the raised dots of the tags. You can click the photo for a close up. I have to say that trying to photograph this was kind of tough. It's either too much glare or the colors get blown out or can't see all the accents. So finally, I think this was the best I could do.
Now I have to get going on my art journal assignment. I think my daughter has given up or actually doesn't have much time for it anymore in her schedule. She is busier than I am.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Use Lace!
Hi! Wow, another week has flown by! It's already time for another Farm Fresh Friday with The Greeting Farm. Sara is hosting this week and she wants us to use lace to create a vintage style card.
I used Latte Anya! Isn't she adorable? I rarely ever do much distressing but I got out some distress inks and inked up the edges of the papers and the main image. I'm happy I got to use some of my pretty lace ribbon that I had bought a little while ago. I used my Perfect Layers rulers to mat the main image too. I seem to always mat at 1/16th of an inch.
I stamped Anya on watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils to color her in. I hand wrote the sentiment and added a little flower button and rhinestone.
Please head over to TGF's blog to check out the rest of the DT's creations and join in on the challenge.

The Greeting Farm's FFF -- Bright Colors!!
Hello! It is The Greeting Farm's weekly Farm Fresh Friday! Kelli is challenging us to use Bright Colors on our projects.
I thought TGF's newly released clear stamp set Holiday Blessings would be perfect to make some bright tags. And yes, I did what some stampers may consider a horror and that is I cut the sentiments away from the image. But I really wanted to curve my sentiments to fit the circle so I carefully cut them apart with some skinny and sharp scissors. I didn't cut the sentiment itself apart though. I just selectively stamped the sentiment so I could get part of it over and under the image.
I selectively stamped which images I wanted also. There are 5 trees in a row but I just wanted 3.
I added Stickles and some glossy accents to each tag.
The tags are from PTI's tag die. I really like the shape of this tag cause it reminds me of an ornament.
Alrighty, head over to TGF's blog to see what bright creations the rest of the team came up with and be sure to join in on the challenge!

Farm Fresh Friday: White Out!
Hi all! Time for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday! Melissa has challenged us to go WHITE though your image can be colored if you wish.
I chose to color Blush Bettie black and white. It was during my short lived B&W phase! Haha. I used my new (back then) Cheery Lynn die. Isn't it pretty? I love the delicate doily look. I layered that on top of my square card base. I layered Blush Bettie on another square cardstock too and added the sentiment that comes with this stamp. Then simple pearls in the corners and in her hair.
Please check out the TGF blog for more challenge details and to see the rest of the Showcase DT's amazing cards. But I'm sure you're checking in regularly to see all the awesome new September releases, right? Aren't they super cute?!

Paper piece your FFF!
Hello! It is paper piecing time at The Greeting Farm's FFF this week! I used to love paper piecing. But then I started to like coloring more! Hehe. But paper piecing definitely adds lots of interest to cards and I like that it's an easy way to have everything all matchy matchy.
I used the very cute Oliver from the Lovey Dovey set on this simple card. I really like these simple layouts. Not only are they quick but the images stand out so nicely! So Oliver's clothes and hat were paper pieced. I just colored in his face, hair, shoes and the red heart. The large red die cut is a Cheery Lynn die. The sentiment comes with this set and the 3 hearts in a row is from TGF's clear Girl Build a Onesie set.
A little close up of the little guy!
Hope you'll have a chance to join in this week! Check TGF's blog for more inspiration and to link up your creations!

A Birthday Farm Fresh Friday
Hi! Jas is hosting TGF's Farm Fresh Friday this week and it's a perfectly fitting birthday theme since TGF just celebrated their 4th year! And were you lucky enough to purchase their limited release BIG Anyas? In case you missed out, I have heard they may return so keep an eye and ear out for them.
I couldn't resist using Anya Celebrates for this week's Farm Fresh Friday. I love her sweet face! The sentiment is also included with this set. And these are BIG so I actually used my very large acrylic block which I hardly ever use.
Hope you have a chance to join in on the fun this week! Check out the TGF blog for more cute stuff from the Showcase DT and all the challenge details!

TGF's Farm Fresh Friday -- Digi it!
Hi! Time for The Greeting Farm's FFF! Jess Marin is the host this week and her theme is digis!
So I finally printed out Cheer Anya! She's so happy! I colored her in my daughter's new school colors! The sentiment is from TGF's Anya Says that I got from one of their Farmer's Markets.
Close up of Cheer Anya. My daughter got pom poms from her school too! I thought that was cute. She also got a school shirt though I don't understand what is written on it. Some kind of new school cheer. She learned all kinds of neat stuff over the summer that I never knew.
Hope you'll print out a TGF digi and join in on this week's FFF! Thanks for reading!
I "sew" need a vacation ...
This is my card entry for TGF's Farm Fresh Friday challenge for the week. It's my first FFF. I don't know why I wait til almost the last minute to participate. It's the pressure of the deadline, I suppose. So the challenge was to incorporate some sewing or even faux sewing on 2 layers of DP or cardstock. I have a sewing machine under my craft table and I haven't used it at all! It's a few years old already and I bought it cause I wanted to learn to sew but never really got around to it. I didn't use it for this challenge either. I used my paper piercer that I just got and hand sewed the outline of the clouds in the sky and some of the "waves" in the ocean DP.
So while I was cleaning out my storage room this past weekend I found all this felt! Ahhhh! So I made a little palm tree for Dress Me Ian to cool off under. There's some hand stitching on the leaves and the tree trunk.
I used some yarn for the bottom scallop portion and just weaved it through. Don't look too closely at my coloring on Ian. I was running out of ink in my Copic pen. But I'm happy I just got new ones from All That Scraps today! It's always fun to get new crafty things.
Anyway, hope you're having a good summer. It's almost back to school for the kids. Thanks for reading!
