Hi! I finally get to post this card! My internet connection has been so unreliable today. But I guess the good thing is I got a lot of chores and housework done. My middle one goes back to school tomorrow! His last week of vacation just flew by.
I made this card a few days ago for Saturated Canary's Challenge #22 -- black and white plus one other color. I wanted to try another black and white card after the Wryn card I made.
When I purchased this digi, I thought she was called Glinda but now when I check out the SC store, it's called Bubbles. Well, whatever she is called, I think she is so pretty! Obviously, I went with black and white plus pink.
Okay, I need to cut this post short. Thanks for reading!

Wishes
Hi! I know Cheryl titled her most recent post Wish so I called this one Wishes. Hehe. I think I'm getting the hang of using digis especially now that I have a heat gun to set the ink. It works so much better than my hairdryer! Though I think I tend to size them a bit on the larger size but it's easier for me to color. Anyway, thought I'd try the current challenge at Saturated Canary #17 -- May Flowers and Paper Sundaes Challenge #120 -- Things with Wings.
I know this looks kind of bright. Haha. I think I wanted to try using colors I don't use often like orange and then blue hair. Plus I had matching blue and orange flowers, so why not? This image is Fairy from Saturated Canary. Love her long flowy hair. So then I chose simple papers. I added lots of flowers, maybe I may have over did it? It was kind of hard to stop adding flowers here and there. The sentiment is from Paper Smooches.
Added stickles to her wings of course, some butterflies and rhinestones too. Oh, I did use my Perfect Layers rulers to mat the image too. And I am trying not to be too dependent on sketches. It takes me a long while to think of my own layout, but the process can be fun as long as I don't over think where I should put things. Hopefully, I don't get too frustrated.

Happy Birthday To You
Hi! So after kind of a stressful day dealing with some school stuff for my daughter, I sat down and finished this card. I was feeling super bummed and didn't have the energy to go find a sketch. So left to my own devices I just slapped together this card to get my mind off of the situation knowing that we'd have to deal with it tonight. Just when you think everything is going great, some kind of mini crisis has to land in your lap. When does it ever end? And does raising kids ever get any easier?
I made this card for Saturated Canary's Challenge #16 -- Happy Birthday and Simon Says Stamp 3rd Birthday Celebration. This is a Saturated Canary digi called Ellie's Birthday. And I colored her in first then realized hey, I don't have any papers that really match so this was the best I could do. The little circle sentiment is from Wild Rose Studios.
Her hair was a bit difficult to color for me being so fine and light.
Anyway, I just got some new toys/tools to play with today so hopefully I'll have time to share what I make with them this week. I hope anyway. I guess it'll depend on the mini crisis. Thanks for reading!

hugs and kisses
Hello! I have another card today that is kind of Valentine-y too. I had her printed out and just sitting on my desk for a while. Finally I got around to coloring her up and making her into a card. And I can actually enter her into Saturated Canary's challenge #37 too!
This is Saturated Canary's Hugs and Kisses. She was a freebie but is now available for purchase HERE. Krista Smith is so very generous with the freebies! I added a lot of hearts here since the challenge theme is Love. The large one that frames the image is from Cheery Lynn. The smaller ones are from CC Designs as is the hugs sentiment. I used my Perfect Layer rulers to mat the image also. Papers are from Doodlebug. Still working my way through that pad.
Here is a close up. And I took out my bottle of liquid pearls to add little dots in the background. I gotta start using my supplies more!
Before I go, I wanted to say Thank You to all my regular commenters! You make blogging so much fun. So thanks for taking the time to send me some thoughtful comments!
Have a great day everyone and thank you for stopping by!

Thinking of you
Hi! I've been kind of slacking with the house chores but it's Friday and I wanted to finish my card for iCopic Challenge #69 -- BG Family and Saturated Canary Challenge #11 -- Anything but square or rectangle. I only have 3 blue green Copic pens but I love the colors! I've been using them a lot since I bought them. I don't know why it wasn't one of my first choices. And I purchased a new Saturated Canary digi called Honey.
Okay, so no square or rectangle card. I went with a heart. I used my Cheery Lynn heart dies and man, pushing out all those little hearts can be a big pain. But so worth it in the end. Now I have tons of little punched out hearts all over my table. And isn't Honey so pretty? I love her hair! Makes me want to grow my hair out again.
Oh yeah, it is a heart shaped easel card too. Found lots of tutorials after Google-ing it. Pretty simple.
I kept the inside kind of simple cause I wanted the front to stand out more. The sentiment is from PTI's Botanical Silhouettes.
Here's a little close up of Honey. Her skirt and socks are in BG Copics. I smeared a little bit of white opal liquid pearls on her socks so they'd be a bit lighter than her skirt. There is glossy accents on her heart and the bunny's tummy. I really love to pair bright pink with blue green so I went with that color combo. I added some brads that were a freebie from Eclectic Paperie when I ordered from them a while ago.
Oh, did you notice my pink netting? I loved the color so I saved it from the outside packaging of those Asian rice noodles. I recycled! Hehe. I know my hubby's gonna wonder what the heck is that pink thing but it's so fun looking. And I really think I'm more open minded about stuff like that ever since taking TGF's Heart Journaling class. Maybe I actually learned something?
Oh, and thanks for all the digi tips! I usually print mine out on PTI white cardstock but I can't color right away. I used to have a different printer and I could just color it after printing. I guess it will have to do for now. Thanks for reading!

girls with glasses
Hi! I love girls with glasses. Whenever I see a stamp of a girl with glasses, I usually want it because they remind me of daughter who wears glasses. But I haven't seen many stamps like that. I wish The Greeting Farm would make an Anya with glasses. Wouldn't that be cute? So when I saw Saturated Canary's Ivy, I immediately picked it up. I made a card with Ivy for Saturated Canary's Challenge #12 -- doilies and used the deconstructed sketch #42.
I think I printed Ivy out a bit too small or I made my card a bit too big. Somehow she seems to be drowning a little in this layout. The colors were inspired by the outfit my daughter was wearing the other day, red leggings, pink skirt & a gray shirt with a bright Hello Kitty on it.
I used a couple of different doilies, flowers and made a chain of red felt hearts with PTI's heart border die.
Thanks so much for reading!

with Love ❤
Hi! I was checking out Shirl's blog one day and saw this cute card she made with a cute digi (Canary Love) by Saturated Canary (Krista Smith). I had seen the stamps around in blogland but I still have to stick to my no new stamps diet. But Shirl was kind enough to provide the link to the digi in her post and it was free HERE! So I thought I'd give it a try using the Deconstructed Sketch #37.
I have to say that it was kind of challenging to color all that hair and even to the tiniest ends. I must be a slow colorer cause it took me part of last night and most of the morning the next day to finish coloring her. But I like it!
Well, I know the digi is called Canary Love not Bluebird Love and I had the intention of coloring the bird yellow but somehow grabbed the wrong Copic and well, now I have a Bluebird. But at least he matches her eye color. I also added some glossy accents to the heart, rose, buttons and the red around her legs.
I even crocheted a little heart. See HERE if you want to make one too. It didn't take long, just about 5 minutes and I'm not that experienced in crocheting. I didn't know what kind of sentiment to add then noticed the name of the DP I was using. You know, on 12x12 sheets there is that little perforated part you can tear off and it has the paper line and info on it. That's what I used.
I'm also entering this in iCopic's Weekly Challenge #68--Hearts and
Ribbon Carousel's Challenge 39--Anything Goes. I realized too late that Saturated Canary also has their own challenges too! Must check that out one day.
