'Tis the Season

Hi!  Thought I'd participate in Club Anya's Saturday Sketch since I haven't done a challenge in a while and these sketches really help me put cards together.  I tried distressing the edges with my Tim Holtz paper distresser.  Man, you can get really carried away using the distresser.  And it gets a little messy.  I think my hubby was wondering why I cut the paper up when I bought it so nice and clean looking.  I guess it's kind of like buying jeans and ripping them up to look old.  Though I never did that and never would.

Beanie Anya is so cute and cheerful.  She looks super cozy here.

The ribbon, flowers and button are all from the blog candy I had won from Amy Young.  Still working through the stash she sent me.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Cuddle Anya Circle Card

Hi again!  Made another card last night for CA&F Saturday's Sketch.

It's my first circle card.  And the first time I used all of Cuddle Anya.  I used her little hat as a template for Mickey ears before.  Cuddle Anya is so cute!  I love her bear and her hat.  I'm really happy that my circle card also stands on it's own without rolling over or anything.  I cut the circle with my largest circle nestability.  Before I used Coluzzle to make shapes.  I still have a whole bunch of Coluzzle things, mostly the puzzle pieces cut outs.  All paper is from Wild Rose Studio that I bought from All That Scraps.  Wild Rose Studio also has the cutest bear stamps (Milton).

I tried making the bear with curly hair or at least give it some texture.  I had seen over at Color Me Copic, Amy Young had a tutorial on how to color curly hair with copics.  Being somewhat lazy and impatient, I didn't look at the video but just figured I try it first.  Hahaha.  I don't think it turned out too bad.  Maybe I should watch the video.

Anyway, I may try to make another card tonight too.  I have to get all this challenge stuff out of my system first.  Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Many Thanks

Hi!  So is it really true??  It's the last ever Saturday Sketch at Club Anya?  I'm really gonna miss those sketches.  And is Club Anya really closing its doors?  That's sad too.  Though I can't wait to see what they are planning next.  So I had to make a card for the last sketch.

I made a little thank you card using TGF's Signature set to thank Club Anya and the design team for all their hard work and inspiration.  I'm so bad at commenting on their blog so thought I'd make a little something.

And my hubby just pointed out Dorothy's shoes should be red not blue.  Geez, now he notices stuff like that.  Well, this is her before the ruby red slippers.  I cut the 3 cuties out and popped them up with dimensionals.  Isn't Toto just so cute?!  I had to really be careful cutting him out.

The Club Anya is a stamp from the set.  Many Thanks is from PTI's Fillable Frames 1 stamp set.

I really like how this card came out too.  And it's the first time I've used this set since buying it a while ago.

This card was also inspired by:
Wee Memories Challenge 49 (Anything Goes)
Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Mother's Day/Girlie Challenge)--I'm going with the Girlie part.

Well, thanks for reading and have a great week!

Edward & Bella

Hi!  Made a card for Club Anya and Friends Saturday Sketch.

I flipped the sketch upside down because I wanted to use my heart doily die from Cheery Lynn Designs.  It looked so good on Cheryl's card HERE.  I bought these dies from Cute Stuff.  They are so pretty.  Anyway, I thought the scalloped bottom could be the top half of the large heart doily.  The little rolled rose is from MFT.  Cut from PTI felt with a tiny cutout heart in the center.

Then I made it into an easel card so the bottom half of the card could go on the inside of the card.  The heart was cut from a shiny grey cardstock.  It was leftover from the time I made my Beatles page.  See HERE if interested.  It's taken me this long to finally use the scraps.

Oh yeah, I forgot to talk about the stamps!  I used TGF's Edward and Camille (Bella for all the Twilight fans).  Edward was probably one of my first TGF's stamps.  I didn't get Camille til much later and took me even longer to finally put them together.  I even had them wear matching colored clothes.  Edward's face has a bit of sparkle shimmer spritz  sprayed on him.  Tied on some ribbon and a bow and added a love charm I got from Stamp and Create when I ordered from them.  That was a nice surprise.

I left this card sort of sentiment-less.  If I had a nice crafting room I'd display it to remind me of the Twilight series.

Well, thanks for reading!
