Have a blast

Hi!  Made a card for TGF's Mystery Monday Challenge with Tracey P.  I really liked her bright summer card and the circle so I went with that as my inspiration for my card.

I've been wanting to use TGF's Summer Fun stamp set for a while.  I thought it was so cute when it was released.  And I finally got Spellbinders lacey circles.  I just can't keep up with all those Spellbinders but every one is so fun and neat and I want them all but realistically can't buy every one.

I feel overwhelmed with all my kids' school stuff.  My desk is covered with school papers and homework to look over.  Thank goodness tomorrow is Saturday.  And I didn't realize how difficult it would become when all 3 of my kids start after school activities.  I'm definitely the chauffeur.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

The sky's the limit

Hi!  Another little card today.  This one is for TGF's Mystery Monday.  I liked the layout of the card and the hot air balloon floating away.  So I thought I'd use one of the little bunnies from TGF's Lucky Bunnies.  I actually bought a few of the older sets when I came across them online at A Walk Down Memory Lane.  I was on a mission to find some of the older sets and checked the retailers listed on TGF's shop.

I went with the bunny holding the balloon.  The bunny is added on with dimensionals and paper pieced too along with the balloon.  I added the sentiment (after I cut it in half) from Fly Away.

I glued on some twine for the balloon's string and tied a bow too.

A pretty straightforward and simple card.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Wild Sprout Miko

Hi!  Hmmm, couldn't think of a title for this post especially since the card I made has no sentiment.  I made a card for this week's TGF's Mystery Monday using Miko from the Roll Call set.  She's only the 3rd one I inked up so far from that set.  Hopefully I'll get to everyone.

I aimed to make a softer, more feminine card.  Less bright colors.  Miko's dress and hair accessories are paper pieced with some copic marker coloring on her dress and bows.

Added some flowers and pearls on her dress.  Used some ribbon and stick pins too.  Hopefully no one gets poked.

I'll also be entering this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #77--paper piecing.  My second entry!

My Friend

Hi!  Made another card today inspired by TGF's Mystery Monday casing Kris4rmmaui.

I decided to use TGF's Snuggle.  She is one of my favorites.  Such a sweet image.  Sentiment is from TGF's Spotlight kit.  There are little hearts (from Lawn Fawn) stamped behind her and the leaves are from PTI's Turning a New Leaf stamp and die sets.  Another fairly simple and straightforward card.  Didn't want to mess too much with layering.

Thanks so much for reading!

Hello, Friend

Hi!  I wanted to make a card for TGF's Something New challenge but never made the deadline.  So thought I'd make a card for TGF's Mystery Monday Case.  I am happy that you can use any stamp now for the challenges.  I'd always have to check myself to make sure I was using the right line of stamps.

I decided to use one of the images in TGF's Miss Anya Lounge stamp set.  First time I'm using this set.  I really am trying to get myself to use every stamp at least once.  Maybe I will need to stop buying more stamps for a while.  TGF stamps are so hard to resist though.

I used a little floral pin and PTI's Tiny Tags stamp and die sets.  The tags and stamps are so cute--one of my favorites from PTI!  I am also challenging myself to use more of my old papers.  I came to this conclusion after I had placed about $50 worth of papers into my shopping cart when I was online one day and thought I'm so ridiculous for buying new paper when I have a at least a couple drawers full of paper.  Well, I don't know how long I can last with that one--I may break down and buy some new paper.  It's so tough!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

Laundry Day

Hi!  Before I get into this card I wanted to congratulate Cheryl on winning the Club Anya & Friends Saturday Sketch from last week.  Yay!  I guess maybe some people who visit our blog don't realize that Cheryl and I share this blog and we both post projects.  Well, back to the card.  I made it for CAF Mystery Monday mostly because I am doing what Cheryl is doing and trying to ink up all my unused stamps.  TGF's Laundry has been sitting in my box for some time now just like our real laundry that's in the living room right now waiting to be folded.  I know how she feels.  With the 5 of us, we have a ton of laundry.  Sometimes I think I'm washing clothes every day!

I bought the DP just for this stamp too.  It is from My Little Shoebox and I cut the little birdie out from a different DP from the same line.

I was a little worried that it would look like the birdie is pecking at her head.  Hahaha.

I did get to play with my Cinch a bit tonight.  It is so easy to use!  I have to think of what other projects I can make now.  Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

You're a Sweetie

Hi!  Here's a little easel card made with TGF's Cheeky Cherry Pie.  I really like this Cheeky.  She's probably my favorite--maybe cause she has pie.  In any case, this is for Club Anya and Friends Mystery Monday

I used a heart-shaped doily and placed liquid pearls around the border but some got kind of smushed.  Hmmm, not patient enough to let it dry completely.  There's also some Glossy Accents on her pie.  I made a little stick pin by the flowers using my beading stash.  The flower background is fabric paper from American Crafts.  It comes with a sticky back and you just peel off the paper--I've had it for a few months now.  It looks like wallpaper to me.  Then added some lace.

The sentiment is from Oliver & Amelia's Just For You set.  The hearts were diecut using MFT's Die-namics dies.  Then some pearls along the bottom just cause I can't seem to leave a whole lot of blank space.  I always want to fill it up with something.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!
