Hi! I made a card for Flutter By Wednesday's 200th and last challenge. I'll miss the challenges!
Here's the sketch for the last challenge.
I decided to go with CC Designs Butterfly Lucy. Isn't she sweet? I love the flower border too also from CC Designs. I got the grass die even though I have one from MFT because this one is a bit shorter and fits the flower border nicely.
I added some glossy accents on her hair accessories and the dots on her dress. No, she's not eating the butterfly like my husband had first thought. Geez, I don't understand him sometimes.
I also used the little saying from CC Designs Spring Logos and stamped it onto a cloudy background. The butterfly is from CC Designs Butterfly Border that I love.
I'd also like to enter this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #118 -- Ribbon and Pearls, Stamp and Create April Challenge -- Spring, and Ribbon Carousel Challenge 50 -- Anything Goes.
I had a nice day today with my daughter. We got her hair cut and styled straight which she just loves. Usually her hair is a bit wavy. We had lunch and did some shopping. But now I'm feeling a bit lazy to do the usual house chores. Oh, and I'm trying to finish reading the Hunger Games books. I'm on Catching Fire but it's slow going for me. I don't know how my daughter read all 3 books. Reading makes me sleepy so every time I read a few pages, I just want to close my eyes and sleep.
Thanks for reading and have a great week!

Butterfly Butterfly
Hi! Wow, how often does Blogger change their "look?" Trying to get used to the new one. I'm feeling a lot better today. Thanks, everyone! I thought I'd play along in Flutter By Wednesday's Challenge #199 which is to case Danni's first card. This is almost the last challenge as Danni will close the challenge blog after the 200th challenge. I didn't get to play too long but it was fun.
I followed the basic layout of Danni's card and the blue colors. But I did add the bow and the circular die cuts.
I used CC Designs Ima Butterfly. She's such a cutie too! I paper pieced her dress and colored the rest of her with Copics. I added some highlights with a white gel pen. I also masked in the clouds in the background using PTI's cloud die. I really like the look of the clouds.
The sentiment is also from CC Designs which I heat embossed and cut out with a Spellbinders circle die. The blue die cut is from PTI as is the ribbon. The flower shaped button is from Stampin' Up!.
I'll also be entering this into Paper Sundaes Challenge #117 -- Let's Get Cute and Oozak's Challenge #1 --Anything Goes.
Have a great week and thanks for reading!

Happy Spring from Simply Anya
Hi! It's another sunny day here. And it's not too hot yet so I'm not gonna complain. The card I have to share today was inspired by TGF's Case Any Challenge DT. I chose to case a card by Margie HERE. It's actually one of her older cards but I really liked all the kraft cardstock and the layout too. I also wanted a spring time card to go along with 7 Kids Challenge -- Shades of Spring and Ribbon Carousel Challenge 47 -- Spring is in the Air. And of course butterflies go so nicely with the spring theme so this is also for Flutter by Wednesday #197 -- open challenge.
Here's the little card I made using Simply Anya that I received for my last TGF win. She's so adorable and so versatile for any occasion.
I added some tiny pearls as her earrings. I thought about sticking something in her hands (she's just like Fancy Anya) like an Easter basket or something or maybe even a flower but kept it simple. I love this paper pad from Doodlebug called Hello Spring. It's got the cutest little patterns! I ended up flipping the elements of my card compared to Margie's one because I loved the little birdies on the patterned paper and I wanted them to be more visible.
I added some twine and a pink bow. The tiny tag and sentiment are from PTI. And the tiny butterflies from Martha Stewart.

Fairwee Mia Wish
Hi! Some time ago, I won a little blog candy from Amy Young and yes, I know it's taken me a long time to finally ink up little Fairwee Mia. But I finally did and created a circle easel card for the following challenges:
Flutter By Wednesdays #191 has an inspiration photo,
All that Scraps Wednesday Challenge is to use a fancy fold,
and Lollipop Crafts Challenge #68 is anything goes.
I used Sweet November stamp Fairwee Mia and also the mushroom from CC Designs. I used 2 stamps that I haven't inked up before so while I did purchase some digis recently, I'm still trying to get through to all my uninked stamps. The Wish sentiment is from PTI's Tiny Tags set.
This is how it looks opened. I used clear cardstock for the front circle so Fairwee Mia can look like she is flying above the mushroom. Though if you are like my hubby you will ask why is she trying to jump over the mushroom? Sigh, because she's a fairy with wings and not a tiny little lady trying to jump the mushroom. Ohhhhh, her wings are too small. Probably cause she's a tiny fairy. So that was the gist of my conversation over this card with my hubby. I added the flowers on the inside to hold up the front and they were yellow but I colored them pink (though they look a bit red) to go along with the inspiration photo.
Both the mushroom and Fairwee Mia are popped up on dimensionals.
A little close up. Fairwee Mia was fast to color, she's so tiny! I added some rhinestones, butterflies, glossy accents on the mushroom, stickles, and twine too.

Fairy Dust is a Must
Hi, Hi, Hi! I'm a little excited to share this project. Sometimes when I get an idea and it seems so great in my head, I get all excited that I have to drop everything and push aside whatever I'm working on. Do you get like that too or is it just me? Anyway, after making that easel card HERE that was all flopping around and couldn't fold flat, I wanted to try again. I had linked to the original tutorial HERE. My project is a bit longer but I think it needs that extra length so that it stands nicely and still can fold flat.
This is how it looks folded flat. It's long at 7 inches.
This is how it looks folded flat. It's long at 7 inches.
I tied a ribbon onto the front to help keep it closed and keep the front panel from flapping out too much. I used TGF's clear stamp sets, Bantastic and Fairy Princess.
This is the bottom portion which helps the top to stand. I stamped one of the banners (the one with the heart) in light pink as the background and stamped the sentiments from Fairy Princess over it.
This is how it looks opened. It's kind of busy and there's a lot going on.
Front view.
Side view of the easel and steps. I made graduated steps so you could see the middle panel a bit more too. But it is all one long piece of cardstock. There is also some space to write a message when you flip the top over too.
I made the sun with one of the banners and a circle die too. I added some rounded banners on pink twine in the back. I wanted it to seem as if the fairies were putting together the banners in the background. I added a tiny pink bow that I bought from a store here. I wonder if someone sits there all day making these bows! They are so cute but I don't think I could ever make a bow that tiny.
Pink Fairy. I added stickles on her wings and dress. There's actually a lot of stickles everywhere on this project!
Blue Fairy is holding one of the banners. If you look closely you can see that she is mounted onto clear cardstock because I wanted her to look as if she was flying.
Orange Fairy. She is also holding a banner and mounted on clear cardstock. I borrowed some yellow glitter glue from my youngest. He loves his glitter glue when he crafts too. I had to buy him some after he kept asking to use my stickles!
I did a short little how to in case you wanted to try one too.
I used 2 pieces of cardstock both 5.5 x 12 inches.
Score one piece at 2.5 and 5 inches.
Then fold it like above. This is your base.
Score the second piece at 5, 7, 9 and 10.5 inches.
Fold it like the photo above. This is the top portion. You may want to lay it over your base and see where it naturally wants to rest and stand. I had about 2 inches of the base showing on the bottom and that's where I added my bottom sentiments. Then just decorate and assemble like a regular easel card. Hope it works out okay!
I used thin American Crafts cardstock too (in blue) and the pink cardstock is PTI. The grass die is from MFT and the butterflies from an MS punch.
I'll be entering this in TGF's Monday Fun-day #16 Let's Get Sentimental and Flutter By Wednesday #186 Open challenge.
Sorry, kind of wordy today. Thanks for reading!
Love ...
Hi! Today's a new day. I realize that I am not only a stress eater but a stress cleaner! I finished off the chocolate covered almonds from Costco (I shared some too!) and managed to clean all our bedrooms, sheets, fans, carpets and did all the laundry too. But I had to stop vacuuming because our vacuum just shuts off by itself. It's been doing that everyday. I vacuum a room and then it shuts off by itself! Frustrating. We need a new one.
Well, I did manage to finish a card! TGF is now having sketch challenges over at SCS!
I chose to use TGF's Flutter Anya. I haven't used this stamp very much so thought I'd give her some attention. I've been trying to use stamps that I haven't even inked up yet before buying even more stamps. My hubby said this card looked very busy. I guess he is a clean and simple kind of card guy but sometimes I like to really embellish my cards.
I chose to color her in varying shades of red for iCopic's weekly challenge #67 -- red love. I added some glitter to her wings. I actually used some of my son's glitter glue and stickles. There's some glossy accents on the hearts on her wings. I added a love charm and a heart die cut from PTI's tiny tags. The butterflies are from Martha Stewart and the leaves are also from PTI.
I'll also be entering this into Flutter By Wednesday challenge #188.
