If We Were Ducks

If we were a duck family, I want us to be just like the ducks on this Rachelle Anne Miller stamp.

I used this stamp on a scrapbook layout about family.  I'm planning on entering it in Lollipop Crafts "All About Family" Challenge.  I love these ducks but I don't think they matched too well with my overall page.  But they are so us, so I had to fit them in somehow.

I used paper from My Little Shoebox.  I made a little house to frame our Disneyland picture.  I wanted it to match the little houses with the scallop rooftops on the paper.  I used PTI's largest scallop die and also the cloud dies.  I had a hard time deciding where to put the clouds to make them look "natural."

I used PTI's Tabs stamp set for the scallop details.  The hearts I punched out and glued to the scallops and from the chimney.  The hearts from the chimney was inspired by one of PTI's stamp sets called Wonderfully Whimsical.  I had to blur out my hubby's pic.  He wishes to be totally anonymous.

It's late now and lots to do tomorrow so I better get to sleep.  Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!

An "Off" Birthday Card

Don't laugh but the birthday card I made for my son is totally off centered.  But he loves this image from Rachelle Anne Miller that I bought from Paper Works Co.  It's called Puddles of Fun.  I bought it cause it reminds me of my family and our 3 kids.  When I showed the stamp to my kids they immediately had to decide which little ducky corresponded to the kids in our family.  The sentiment really matched my son's personality too cause he has always been the silly, happy one since he was an infant.

This was the first time I made a T-slide card.  Tutorial was on Splitcoaststampers.  See HERE. I had a lot of fun coloring this image too.  So I'm making a list of the other Rachelle Anne Miller stamps I want to buy too (mostly the ones from Paper Works Co.).

I didn't realize that the image would be so huge and that it'd be so off centered.  But you know what?  My son didn't even care.  He loved pulling the tab and sliding the image so that he could see the Happy Birthday stamp.  And now it's tucked away in his little "treasures" box along with the other things I've made for him.

Thanks for reading!

Motivation Calendar

Hello!  I made this calendar which came with Sunghee's calendar template HERE from her Little Potato House store.  I love this layout and I love that it has that little box at the top.  It also comes without the box too.  The stamp is Rachelle Ann Miller from Paper Works Co.  It's our duck family.   Motivation is stamped with PTI's Outline Alphabet set.  Clouds are masked with PTI's clouds die.

Anyway, this is supposed to help motivate me to exercise!  Last year I tried to keep up with exercising and I thought I did pretty well in the beginning that is.  After about 2-3 months though, it started to fizzle out and then I got all sluggish again.  I really don't know how people can work out and actually put that into their daily routine.  So I started again about 3 weeks ago but I can't exercise everyday.  I just don't like it and I can't imagine having to do it forever to maintain a healthy weight.  Plus I just want to craft when I have time.  So I thought I'd hang this on the wall so I can stare at it while exercising.  I don't have a picture of it but I wrote down what motivates me to exercise.  Things like my health and my kids and being almost 40 years old and just kind of wrote a list directly onto the clouds area so I can remind myself to keep going even though I feel like stopping.  And I can also mark off the days that I exercised on the calendar.

Well, I finally got my new Cinch so I'm gonna go play now.  Thanks for reading and have a great Friday!
