All That Scraps December Review

Hello everyone!!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  Our kids had a great time and they are a bit sad that Christmas is over already!  Every year I am amazed at all the generous gifts they receive from family and friends.  I hope they realize that!

Today is a Sweet November review day at All That Scraps.

This card features Love Birds.  The sentiment is from Starry Sentiments and is stamped on the Banner Day die.  I also used CC Designs Big Hearts dies.  The DP is the new Doodlebug Lovebirds pad.  Love Doodlebug paper pads!

Took a nice day off from crafting today.  Spent the whole morning and again in the evening opening presents with the kiddies.  Actually though, I spent lots of time cleaning up after them!  So much wrapping paper.  Tomorrow I will try to take down the tree decorations.  Our tree is not looking too fresh anymore.  Hopefully I'll be doing some crafting too.

Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps December Preview -- Sweet November

Hello!  I know, I've been so awful these past few days not leaving any comments!  But I'm trying to get back on track.  The holiday season is so busy isn't it?  Trying to cram some last minute gifts and realizing that school gets out before Christmas so I need to do all that first.  And where is the sun these days?  Today was so dark and gloomy.  I didn't see the sun at all!  Makes me want to crawl back into bed.

I do have a card to share!

This is Love Birds from Sweet November Stamps.  Aren't they adorable?!  They will be available December 6th at All That Scraps.

You can check out the rest of the DT's creations too over HERE.

Thanks for reading!

Stocking Boy Christmas Card

A little while ago, I was so lucky and won some blog candy from Amy Young at A 1000 Sheets of Paper.  I love all the paper and embellishments that she sent over.  So I made this card, totally inspired by the one she made and included with the blog candy.  Her card in person is so pretty.

I used a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the brick look on the red cardstock.  I used his distressing tool to rough up the edges too.  The Christmas tree is felt and cut from a PTI die.  I stuck on the little pearls that Amy had included in the candy.

The stocking has some polar white flower soft added to it as well.  I'm always afraid to color in large areas so I paper pieced Stocking Boy's pjs.

I love this little boy cause he reminds me of my boys especially the older one who is always looking forward to Christmas and the presents of course.

When I was done, I asked my hubby what he thought of this card and he said the red cardstock looked like carpet.  Huh?  Carpet?  So I asked my daughter and she said the red looked like brick for a fireplace.  And that it made sense since the stocking would be hanging on a fireplace.  Yes!! That is why she is my daughter.

Thank you to Amy again for all the candy and for sharing her incredible talent.

Thanks for reading. Hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween weekend!

Oleander Bookmark

I promise this is my last bookmark!  I had colored this cute stamp, Oleander from Sweet November Stamps, to use on a Halloween card but she fit so nicely on the bookmark.  I love how she looks so innocent and sweet but maybe has something up her sleeve.  I made the little orange tassel to attach on the bookmark.

And green eyes ... for some reason I wanted her to have green eyes.

Thanks for reading!  Have a great week!

All That Scraps October Preview -- Day 4

Hello!  Are you enjoying the previews so far?  Today I am back with All That Scraps preview on Sweet November Stamps.

This is Felicity.  I chose to do a simple card with her plus I am a little limited with my die cutting choices these days as I broke my Big Shot.  Yeah, I'll tell you more about that on a different day.  Though maybe I shouldn't say I broke it, rather it broke on me.  The sentiment was heat embossed onto vellum and is from Scripted Greetings Fanciful Christmas.

Added lots of stickles to her wings and halo.  She is a sweet image!  There are 2 others from Sweet November Stamps so hop on over to All That Scraps' blog to check them out.

Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps Review -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi!  I'm back with a review for All That Scraps -- Sweet November Stamps.

I've used Lil Boo and Larry again.  They were stamped on vellum and heat embossed.  I just colored Larry in with Copics straight on the vellum.  I added some banners from the mini banners die.  This was a fast and simple card.  Perfect when you don't have as much time.

Well, this is a short post!

Thanks for reading!

All That Scraps September Release Preview -- Day 3

Hi!  Today, All That Scraps is previewing cute Sweet November stamps!  These are perfect for Halloween!

I made my card using Lil Boo and Scary Larry.  Scary Larry is too cute!  Lil Boo is transparent cause he's a ghost!  I stamped him on some vellum paper that I had just bought the same day as these cute Doodlebug papers.  I added a banner using the Mini Banners die and heat embossed the sentiment from Down on the Farm Sayings.

Here's a little close up.  Scary Larry is paper pieced.  After I stamped Lil Boo onto vellum I traced him with my Copic multiliner pen so the lines would be more defined.

Just wanted to share something I thought was kind of neat also.  After I stamped and trace him like above, I flipped it over like below.

And I thought that looked pretty cool too!  A reverse image!  Just would need a bit of tracing to stand out more.

Please hop over to All That Scraps blog to also see what some of the other DT members have created.  I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Hope you've been enjoying the previews!  Thanks for reading!

CC Designs August Review -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi!  It's time for CC Designs August Review of Sweet November Stamps.  Today I have another little tag to share.  I know, lots of tags lately.  But I know I will be using them for little Halloween goodies soon.

So here is Tish on this banner tag (MFT dies).  Kind of looks like a bookmark too.  The skull and eyeballs can be found in the October 31 Accessories set.  Lots of fun stuff in that set for Halloween.  The sentiment is from AmyR's Witch-ful Thinking set.  The sentiment I used is pretty simple but the set also includes lots of fun and creative Halloween ones too.

Here is a little close up photo.  Do you like the little spider on the paper?  Love these papers.

Please head over to CC Designs blog for more Sweet November inspiration!

The other day I found myself crafting on my living room floor.  That's how I used to do things until I set up a table in my kids' play area.  But I still haven't finish organizing my crafty area and didn't have enough room to make stuff.  Plus I was watching Grey's Anatomy reruns.  I don't think I can craft and watch TV at the same time.  It's too hard to concentrate.

I'll be back later with some Sister Stamps creations too!  Thanks for reading!

CC Designs August Preview -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi!  Thanks for all the comments and visits!  Today we're previewing Sweet November Stamps over at CC Designs and yes, they are Halloween stamps!

This spooky gal is Tish!  Isn't she fun?  She is so fun to color and this little scene came together easily.  The spider and the eyeballs are part of Oct 31 Accessories.  I love the eyeballs!  I tried to make them look bloodshot.  The Creepy bat is from Boo-tiful Sentiments.  The spider web is an embossing folder and I rubbed on some silver gelato.   I love that look.

Here is a close up.  I kind of like how I ended up coloring her.  I think sometimes my coloring happens by accident!

Please check out the rest of the DT creations HERE.  All these new stamps will be available August 1st at 9 PM EST.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

CC Designs July Review -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi!  Just popping in real quick to share my creations for Sweet November Stamps review over at CC Designs Rubber Stamps.  Seems I am not posting as much but I have been enjoying lots of kiddie time.  We have been relaxing and went to the beach too.  Hopefully we'll make it to the beach a couple more times this week.  The kids love to play in the sand and collect shells too.

Here is my first card featuring one of the Sweet November Mermaids.  The sentiment is from AmyR Sweet Summer Sentiments.

This is my second card which seems super bright right now on my screen.  She is another one of the Sweet November Mermaids and sentiment is also from AmyR Sweet Summer Sentiments.

Gosh, it is so humid right now here.  I need to get to a fan and cool off.  I am just sweating typing and crafting!  Hopefully, we'll get some rain too to cool off but not on our beach days.

Hope you're enjoying the summer!  Thanks for stopping by!

CC Designs July Preview -- Sweet November Stamps

Hi all!  I have a card to share today for CC Designs July preview.  There are three new Sweet November Stamps mermaids.  The July release will be available July 4th at 9 PM EST.

This is just one of the three mermaids.  The sentiment is from AmyR Sweet Summer Sentiments.  I used mostly scrap papers for this card so I'm happy about that.  And using up some of those dew drops that I still have a whole jar of.

Here's a close up.  She is nice and bright.

If you'd like to see the rest of the mermaids, please click HERE.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

All That Scraps June Preview -- Sweet November Stamps

Hello!  Welcome to another day of All That Scraps June previews.  Today we are introducing some cute Sweet November Stamps princesses.  These four princesses are adorable and I wanted to create a fancy schmancy card.  I remembered the tutorial on SCS called the bendi fold card so thought I'd give that a try.  There a lot of photos here so hope you make it til the end.

This is the front of the card.  The two front flaps curve and tuck into the card behind it.  The princesses reminded me of the Disney princesses so I colored them up like them.  All the sentiments are from AmyR's Simply Enchanting Sentiments.

Close up photo.  Right behind her you can see the head of the other princess.  I colored in some hair to the back so it wouldn't look weird.

When you open the right flap you can see the next 2 princesses.  The birds are from CC Designs Birdie Day and the tree is a die cut.  I used the die to cut out all the leaves!

I tried to add a bird to every page and grass too using the grass border die.

I actually looked up the eye colors of all the princesses too.

Here's a closer look at all the leaves and birds on the tree.  You can also see the little cut I made to slide in the tab of the front flap.

I really like this princess.  She might be my favorite one.

Here is how it looks when you open the left flap.

I had all these papers for a while too.  So happy that I still had the paper with the castle and carriage too.

The last princess.  I added some leaves to this side of the tree too.

Last photo!  This was fun to make and I loved how it came out.  But afterwards I thought, gee, I didn't really have to make the front flaps bend.  It would be cute just as a flat card too.  Maybe that will be next time.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

All That Scraps May Review

Hello!  It's time to review Sweet November Stamps over at All That Scraps

I made a quick and simple card using Mia's Kite and some pretty papers from Echo Park's Sweet Girl.  Also did some simple paper piecing so this card didn't take me too long to make.

Here's a little close up of Mia.  She looks so carefree.  I don't think I've ever flown a kite or maybe my hubby had tried with the kids when they were younger but I don't think it worked very well.

I already feel like this week is flying by!  My oldest will be traveling to the East Coast next week for an American History tour all by herself!  Well, okay, there will be 40 or so other kids and some adult chaperones but still it's hard to let your kids travel without mom or dad.  And all the preparation for it makes me feel stressed out!  They suggested we pack each outfit in a Ziplock bag so it's easier for the kids to just grab a bag a day to get ready.  But so many other details to think about.

Seriously, where does the time go?  I can't believe she is brave enough to travel without us.  Now my daughter is just 3 inches shorter than me.  And her feet are almost the same size as mine!  Though maybe we could share shoes?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

***********************************************************************************

Hello!  This is day 3 of All That Scraps May Preview.  Today's focus is on Sweet November Stamps.

My card features Josie and Jilly's Chat.  Aren't they sweet?  The sentiment is from AmyR Sunny Sentiments.  I used my current favorite Spellbinders labels 29 as the card base but then realized that the middle point sticks out a bit more than the others so it doesn't stand evenly but tips to the side.  But I still like this shape and this card.  I added some ribbon and pearls.

A close up.  I added some Stickles on their wings and the string that connects their cans.  Check out more of the preview HERE

The other day I realized that my crafting tweezers are pretty handy.  Not only did I use them to pull out a small splinter in my finger but I also used them to pull out some cereal I had dropped into my keyboard.  I really should not eat cereal or anything for that matter while browsing on the computer cause I am always dropping something.  I knew I was making a good purchase when I bought those tweezers!  And occasionally I do use them for crafting too.

Hope your week is going well.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

All That Scraps April Review

Hello!  Wow, seems like I haven't been blogging as much.  But I am making stuff!  Lots to share soon!  Today is a review day for Sweet November Stamps over at All That Scraps.

Here is Josie's Brella.  Love these little fairwees.  She's so sweet!  And I love how easy they are to color because of their little size.  It's so quick to make a little card.  The sentiment is from AmyR Welcome Little One.

Thanks for stopping by!
